Bayside Rugby Adopt a Shark:

Bayside Rugby Club’s goal has always been to make rugby an affordable sport for families both in and around our community. 2010 marked a major step forward in realizing that goal with the creation of our “Adopt-A-Shark Program”. If you are aware of a family that would like to participate in Rugby but is unable to financially please contact the Bayside Junior Director directly for more information on how we may be of assistance. juniorrugby@baysiderfc.com

Echoing the same values as “The Right To Play” program (www.righttoplay.com), Bayside Rugby Club intends to create a healthier and safer community through the power of sport and play. Bayside, therefore, invites individuals, families, businesses, local clubs and associations to “Adopt-A-Shark” by sponsoring less fortunate children to come to Bayside and be part of the great game of rugby.

If you are interested in “Adopting-A-Shark”, please feel free to contact our Club Executive through the Club Secretary at Secretary@BaysideRFC.com. A sponsorship amount of $350 will cover the child’s Bayside club dues, their insurance with the BCRU, as well as their kit which will include a Bayside team jersey, shorts, socks, mouth guard, and cleats.

All eligible boys and girls from Kindergarten to Grade 12 from within or outside of our community are welcome. We are targeting children who cannot afford to play organized team sports and for whom rugby could be a much-needed outlet to channel their energy in a positive manner, thus enhancing their own lives and creating a healthier community.

All we ask from them and their parents is a willingness to commit to games and practices for the course of the mini or junior season.
