Head Coach – Men’s Premier Team

Bayside is seeking an experienced and driven Head Coach to lead our Men’s Premier Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performance coach to shape a competitive program within a proud, community-focused club. Working closely with the Director of Rugby, Men’s Director and Technical Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing elite performance standards, driving player development, and building a strong, accountable team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all on-field coaching for the Men’s Premier Team, including training sessions and match-day operations
- Design and implement seasonal performance plans, structures, and game strategies
- Collaborate with the Technical Committee to align the Premier program with club-wide pathways and values
- Identify, recruit, and develop players to strengthen squad depth and long-term success
- Support assistant coaches and performance staff
- Foster a positive, professional, and inclusive team environment
- Represent Bayside RFC in league functions and high-performance forums
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience coaching at senior or high-performance club level (Premier, representative, or university rugby preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop players both technically and mentally
- Commitment to athlete welfare and positive club culture
- Relevant coaching certifications (or willingness to obtain them)
Compensation
The compensation package will be discussed with the Director of Rugby and will reflect the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.
